Rainbolt x Google Maps / Social Campaign
Google Maps partnered with internet creator and world-renowned geolocation expert (and professional Google Maps player) Rainbolt for a first-of-its-kind campaign documenting the launch of Street View in Costa Rica. The project followed Rainbolt as he joined the Google Street View team on the ground, capturing the country's roads for the first time, appearing in real Street View imagery, and culminating in a custom Easter egg that features an animated version of him when users drag Pegman—the little yellow guy—into Costa Rica on Google Maps. To amplify the campaign across social, my team transformed the feature-length documentary into a series of original short-form videos that highlighted the journey, built anticipation around the hidden Easter eggs, and brought the story to audiences beyond the full-length film.
